Varlion Bourne Carbon Platinum Padel Racket
The Bourne Summum Carbon Platinum is a power racket designed for intermediate players who want to make a qualitative leap in their game. Its predominantly black design gives it a touch of sobriety and elegance that contrasts with the dazzling color of its coating.
The Bourne Summum Carbon Platinum is made of a bidirectional carbon tube. The core is made of medium-hardness EVA SOFT rubber, laminated with layers of 7 Rhombus carbon fiber fabric (12K) and fiberglass, and reinforced with carbon fiber. All fabrics are impregnated with VAR-FLEX epoxy resin, a Varlion exclusive, and coated with a titanium dioxide layer.
This racket is made with the BOURNE shape, a hybrid born from the fusion of the traditional diamond shape (power rackets) and teardrop shape (balanced rackets). This is a Varlion exclusive shape that adds a point of control to offensive blades, resulting in 60% power and 40% control.
Hexagonal frame whose shape provides greater rigidity and resistance to the blade by creating a rib in the frame with a straight part (edge) and a chamfered part (bevel).
This frame is protected by the AB system. In its previous version, this protector weighed 21 grams, but thanks to its new design, its weight has been halved, now weighing only 10 grams.
It was designed and manufactured by injection molding in low-hardness TPU to absorb shocks and scratches. It is attached to the blade frame using an adhesive material without the need to drill holes in the frame, which avoids weakening the frame for attachment. This eliminates any possible vibrations from the protector and achieves total pairing between the blade frame and the lower surface of the protector.
Patented and registered technology with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and can be extended to other countries.
Technology developed with the aim of directing airflow in the only "treatable" area of the blade through which air passes, its heart. The advantages of this technology are:
-An increase in player speed in fast shots such as the smash.
-Greater shot consistency by making the trajectory more constant, thanks to the zero influence of turbulence that conventional rackets normally have in the heart area.
-A greater number of shots with more control, also thanks to the reduction of turbulence.
Its design is inspired by the diffuser first used by the Brawn GP Formula 1 team at the rear of the car.
Includes a 14.5 cm grip, a wider hitting zone, and the integration of the Wings diffuser. This set, registered by Varlion under the name Summum, improves comfort, control, and efficiency at every point.
The rough texture of ErgoSlice improves ball grip during slices thanks to raised lines that follow the contour of the racket.
Ergoholes' progressive holes reduce air resistance and allow for a cleaner, more consistent strike, widening the hitting zone and improving swing efficiency.
The Handlesafety security system allows the string to pass through both sides of the grip, ensuring a safer and more comfortable hold. It prevents breakage and adds reliability to the grip.
